Learn to play songs in a group format with professional

Jam Session Class ( Starting once a month in April )  All Skill Levels

In this workshop students will learn the essential skills for thriving in a jam session. Students will learn how to improvise in a variety of musical settings along with

Operation of mixers, PA equipment and working with fellow musicians…………

Music will be a variety of Country Rock ,Blues Rock , Classic Rock  

Next Session will be in June!   With 1.5 hr classes  9:30 to 11:00

12:00 to 1:30 and  2:00 to 3:30   COST $ 20 .00 per student  per class..

Hosting the Jam Class will be Terry Schott and Richard Hendrix

Terry  - Drums and Percussion ( Mid Rivers Teacher )

Terry has been playing drums for 30+ years.  Starting at the age of 10 Terry has played in the school bands including jazz and marching band, the St Louis rock, country, and blues scene and Compton Heights Concert band. Also Hosting

 Richard (Guitar and Bass ), Richard with over 30 years experience has toured with  various county artist in Nashville  including  Barbra Mandrel.

Ms. Ortiz will be working as our

repairman in band instruments.

A graduate of Badger State Repair,

Talitha has worked extensively with woodwind and brasswind instruments.

Talitha is also our new oboe instructor - a graduate of University of Illinois with a degree

Welcome to the world connection of Mid Rivers Music Instruments. We are a full service music store with eight staff members, our repair people, and 17 teachers with 300 + students taking lessons weekly. We want to take this time to invite you to look over our website and get an idea of the professional attitude we offer in sales, rentals, and service of a full line of musical instruments including drums, guitars, electric keyboards, school band and orchestra instruments, accessories, & PA equipment.

Rentals are a good cost effective introduction to music. At Mid Rivers Music (MRMI) we can make it easy to rent an instrument and find the instrument of your choice to play for life. Make the change in your life now and find out at a very low cost what joy it is to play music. Rentals of instruments make it cost effective for a person who is not sure if playing an instrument is what they really want to do. If you decide you no longer want to play you can return the instrument and you don't owe anything more.

We offer lessons for all styles of guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano, voice, drums/percussion, violin, viola,   cello, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone, low brass, and harmonica. We also repair fretted instruments (guitars, bass, banjo, mandolin, etc.), school band instruments, orchestral instruments, keyboards, and drum/percussion instruments.

Since opening in 1995, Mid Rivers Music has acquired the Vox, Ibanez, Alvarez, Jackson, Dean, Peavey, Yamaha, Cort, Washburn, Tama Drums, Roland, Boss, Samick, Sunlite, Fernandez, Conn/Selmer, Holton, LeBlanc, Vito, Latin Percussion, Gibraltor, lines of music instruments. Accessory lines include D'Addario/Planet Waves, Ernie Ball Strings & accessories, GHS Strings, Elixer Strings, Dean Markley Strings, Martin Strings, John Pearse Strings, Rapco Cables, Remo Drumheads, Zoom and Samson, Rico and Vandoren reeds, Korg and Snark tuners and metronomes, Jones and Meason Double reeds, neckstraps, valve oil, music stands, and much more. Stop in to ask about our full line of instruments and accessories if we don't have it we can probably get it. MRMI also carries a full line of Hal Leonard, Mel Bay, and Alfred, sheet music and books.

The friendly and professional attitude demonstrated to their customers has created a # 1 rating for customer service in the St Charles county. John Sherwin & his wife Peggy, are happy to have opened the store in 1995 and now call St Peters their home and their family of customers who frequent their store. The Sherwins want to share the joy of playing music for people of all abilities. The mission they have is to simply share in promoting live music and encourage the music ability in each and everyone. MRMI offers recitals to the students twice each year and is working on new opportunities to promote live music in the St. Charles County area.
